How to write a clear service quotation
Start with your business and customer details, then add the proposed work as separate line items. Use quantities for repeated services or materials, and set a clear rate for each. The preview updates as you type so you can review the price before exporting.
What belongs in the notes?
Explain the scope, exclusions, validity period and how the customer can approve the work. If materials or timing are uncertain, make those conditions clear. Tax is optional and must be entered based on your own circumstances; the tool does not choose a tax rate.
Save and send your quotation
Save Draft remembers one document on this device. Download PDF creates a file directly, while Print opens the browser print menu. Share PDF offers the file to your device’s available sharing apps. Review the PDF and choose the recipient yourself.
After the customer approves
Use Convert to invoice to retain the customer and item details. Review the invoice number, issue date, due date and notes. Conversion does not confirm that the quotation was accepted or that work is complete.
