This policy covers the GetAssistance website, a CreTech project. Contact us at info@getassistance.com.pk about privacy questions. It describes the version currently available and will be updated before material changes to data handling.
Document details and logos
Information entered into the document maker is processed in your browser unless a logged-in user chooses Save to Account or saves, prints, downloads or shares an invoice linked to a saved client. Linked invoices are saved to the account and update the client ledger before output. The PDF is generated on your device. Uploading a logo reads the selected image locally, and logos are not stored in the account database.
Optional local storage
Choosing Save Draft stores one document, including its business details and optional logo, in your browser's local storage. A later save replaces it. It stays there until you clear it with Start fresh, clear the site's browser data, or your browser removes it. It does not automatically follow you to another device. Anyone using the same browser profile may be able to see the draft, so avoid saving private records on shared devices.
Downloads, printing and sharing
Download PDF creates a file through your browser. Print sends the document to the print destination you choose. Share PDF passes a file to your device's sharing system only when you select the action. Any app or recipient you choose then handles the file under its own policies. We do not read your contacts or confirm that a recipient received it.
Website requests and support email
Your hosting connection can expose ordinary request information, such as IP address, browser information, requested pages and timestamps, to the hosting provider for delivery and security. Document contents are not included in the URLs generated by our tools. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives the network information associated with those requests. Font providers do not receive the text typed into the editor through that font request.
If you email us, we receive the address, message and attachments you choose to send. We use that information to respond and investigate the issue. Do not send sensitive customer documents. Contact us to request deletion of support correspondence; some records may need to be kept for legitimate operational or legal reasons.
Website analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use GetAssistance, including pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser information, and general interaction statistics. Google Analytics may use first-party cookies or similar identifiers to distinguish visitors and sessions. We use these reports to improve the tools, guides and website performance; document contents entered into the quotation, invoice and receipt makers are not intentionally sent to Google Analytics.
Google processes Analytics data under its own terms and privacy practices. You can restrict or delete cookies through your browser settings and use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on where supported.
Account data and saved records
Creating an account is optional. When you register, we store your name, email address and a securely hashed password. When a logged-in user chooses Save to Account, we store the document fields and line items in the account database. Invoices linked to saved clients are also saved automatically when printed, downloaded or shared, and their totals are recorded as charges in the client ledger. Client names, contact details, addresses, and ledger charges and payments, including charges from linked invoices are stored privately in your account. Products and services added in My Account are also stored so they can be suggested in the document maker. Business details and logos are stored in your account when you save your business profile or a document. New documents use your saved business profile; existing saved documents retain their own details.
You can ask us to delete your account and its saved products and documents by contacting us from the registered email address. We retain operational records only where reasonably needed for security, legal obligations or resolving a request.
Advertising and cookies
GetAssistance may display advertising from Google AdSense and other advertising partners. Where advertising is served, third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or other websites. Google's advertising cookies enable it and its partners to personalize ads based on those visits, subject to your consent and applicable requirements.
You can manage or opt out of personalized Google advertising through My Ad Center. You can also visit YourAdChoices to opt out of personalized advertising from participating third-party vendors. Learn more about how Google uses advertising data.
Where required, advertising cookies and related data processing are subject to your consent through the site's consent message. You may also manage cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect some website features.

You can use the tools without saving a draft, remove local data using Start fresh or your browser settings, and choose where to store or share exported files. If this policy changes, the update date on this page will change. Review it before entering information you consider sensitive.
